Biography

Dania Tomlinson is an MFA graduate of the University of British Columbia. Her short fiction has won awards and been published in literary magazines, including Room and SubTerrain. Her debut novel, Our Animal Hearts was published by Penguin Random House Canada in 2018.

Research Interests & Projects

Specializing in short fiction and the novel, but forever fascinated by stage play and the personal essay. Currently researching rabbit folklore and rabbit symbolism across cultures, narratives about missing women, and utopian fiction. General interests include mythology, folklore, fairy tale, magic realism, experimental structure, feminism, and apocalyptic fiction.
