Community Art Course
The central focus of this special summer project will be the creation of a full scale permanent public Mural in the heart of Kelowna’s Cultural District. Students will be lead through all of the steps necessary to plan, pitch and deliver a Public Mural. Over the course of 5 weeks July -Aug, students will meet and work collaboratively to paint a colourful and exciting two storey Mural. Students will gain experience with projectors, mechanical lifts, a variety of paint applications and techniques common to painting Murals.
Although this is a 400 level course, special consideration will be made for those 2nd and 3rd year students who have shown excellence in work ethic and demonstrated strong interest in painting, drawing and printmaking practices.
(Course: VISA 460K-001; Instructor: David Doody)
