Description
The International Student Undergraduate Research Award program supports international undergraduate student research in order to provide exceptional learning experiences for international undergraduates at UBC Okanagan through engagement in research over the summer months. One award is available to cover research-based activity during the summer. Students must be in Canada between May-August 2026 to take up the IURA.
Applicants must be a student with a major in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies to qualify
- Bachelor of Arts – major in Art History and Visual Culture; Creative Writing; Cultural Studies; English; French; or Languages
- Bachelor of Fine Arts
- Bachelor of Media Studies
Each award will consist of:
1) a $10,000 stipend for a 16-week period during the summer session; and
2) up to $1,500 to cover expenses associated with the research project (eg. materials, supplies)
