Creative & Portfolio Days

A chance to find out more about the BFA and BMS programs, learn more about the portfolio requirement and get advice on building an entrance portfolio.

Photography Class

Each year faculty from the Visual Arts program host an afternoon for prospective applicants.  Led by professors from the program, these events provide the chance to learn more about our studio spaces, as well as the opportunity for prospective visual arts applicants to receive advice on assembling their entrance portfolio and/or obtain pre-approval for the portfolio requirement as part of their application to the program.

Creative Studies Open House and Portfolio Review

Fall 2025

Date: Saturday, November 21
Time: 12-2pm

Winter 2026

Date: Saturday, January 10
Time: 12-2pm

Creative and Portfolio Day is an opportunity to get advice on preparing an entrance portfolio, or to receive pre-approval for the portfolio requirement for the Bachelor of Fine Arts or the Bachelor of Media Studies.

Prospective students will take a tour of the studio classrooms and explore the working spaces used by students in visual arts, media studies, and theatre. You’ll also learn more about the application process, portfolio requirements for both BFA and BMS programs, and have the chance to ask questions. Each participant will be assigned a 20-minute timeslot to present their work to our program coordinator, receive feedback on their portfolio, and the chance for early approval.
