Creative & Portfolio Days

A chance to find out more about the BFA and BMS programs, learn more about the portfolio requirement and get advice on building an entrance portfolio.

Photography Class

Each year faculty from the Visual Arts program host a series of free workshops for prospective applicants.  Led by professors from the program, these sessions provide the chance to learn more about a variety of subjects and media such as animation, drawing, creative writing and printmaking, as well as the opportunity for prospective visual arts applicants to receive advice on assembling their entrance portfolio and/or obtain pre-approval for the portfolio requirement as part of their application to the program.

Portfolio Day Session

Portfolio Day is a chance to get advice on building an entrance portfolio, or obtain pre-approval for the portfolio requirement for the Visual Arts BFA program.

At this session, you will learn more about the application process, portfolio requirements and have questions answered. For this event, participants will be assigned a 20 minute timeslot and will have the opportunity to show your work to our program coordinator and receive feedback. Over the course of the day, you will have 20 minutes of one-on-one time with a portfolio reviewer to offer feedback on your portfolio and the chance for early approval.

Join us on January 13, 2024 between 10am and 3pm to meet with instructors Andreas Rutkauskas, Briar Craig, and Katherine Pickering about your BFA portfolio and between 10am and 1:30 pm with Annie Wan for the BMS portfolio.
