Student Okanagan Film Festival

Student Film Fest

The annual Student Okanagan Film Festival continues a tradition of celebrating emerging student filmmakers of the Okanagan Valley.

The festival showcases short films from a wide range of genres including mini-documentary, experimental, music videos, animation, short narrative & more. This is a great chance for student filmmakers to see their films or videos on a big screen.

2022 Festival Film Reel

Entries from the the 2022 annual Student Okanagan Film Festival were screened on April 27th at the Mary Irwin Theatre.

“It’s rare for students to get an opportunity to watch their movie in a full house, on a huge screen. They’re producing their work on computer monitors, so a movie screening—with their peers—is an awesome opportunity. Last year’s program was amazing. The quality of film is only getting better every year.”
