Draw by Night
Welcome to Kelowna's only bi-monthly drawing party.
Draw By Night - Kelowna is an ongoing bi-monthly public event held periodically at the Alternator Centre, Kelowna Art Gallery, the Kelowna Museums and BNA Brewing that promotes creativity, imagination and collaboration through the process of drawing. It is a social drawing party which asks its participants to collectively and freely draw in a social setting on large rolls of paper. The objective is to be surrounded by like-minded creative individuals and ask them to draw under one theme, often related to the current exhibition, in an informal setting that promotes networking and inspiration. Participants converse visually through collaborative drawing or are inspired by others to produce something individually.
The aim is to engage creative people from various disciplines throughout the community including students, industry professionals, visual artists, hobbyists and the general public and get them all drawing!
Somebody's Watching Me
Inspired by the work of BFA alumna Sage Sidley, this theme explores portraiture. We will be observing and drawing each other, passers-by, or just our favourite faces. Join us for a night of networking and collaborative drawing.
This event is free + open to the public! Come armed with your favourite drawing utensil or just bring your bad self and you can use our stuff. We will provide drawing materials and long stretches of paper. Come draw with us!
Thursday, Nov. 23, 6 - 8 PM
